support
If this site has been useful or interesting for you, there are a few things you can do by way of a thankyou. The easiest is to use the feedback form to tell me what you think, and what you would like to see here.At the moment my main concern is to get visitors into the site. The more people visit, the more worth my time it is to add new sections and update. You can help by emailing the address of the site to people you think might be interested. Also, if you know any sites that you think may link to this site, contact them and tell them - I've probably been in touch with them already, but someone else saying the same thing won't hurt.
If you use a bulletin board or mailing list whose members might be interested, post a message to tell them where I am.

I'm not aiming to make any money out of this site. I do hope it will bring in a little bit of money through the links to Amazon.com and Amazon.co.uk, but while this may pay for my webhosting, you'd have to buy an awful lot of books to cover the cost of the time I put into it. If you find anything you are interested in on the recommended reading, movies and music, guides and phrasebooks or textbook sections, then you can buy it through Amazon and I get a percentage of the price. If you don't find something you like, click through and use Amazon's search to find something you do like.
this site
This is basically a hobby, and it'll last as long as I find it interesting. I hope that will be for a long time, and that the site is useful for as many people as possible - initial feedback has been very promising.pictures
I've just aquired a digital camera, and am slowly adding in pictures. I haven't quite figured out how it works, and don't have
a decent graphics program, so don't expect professional standards. Most of the pictures are just to add colour and interest, but
in some sections (ie chinese housing) they also have a practical use.
If you see a section with no picture, and you have a picture you think would be suitable, let
me know and I'll put it in, with credit to you.
notes
Firstly, when you see the
next to a word, you can hold
your mouse over it for some pop-up language info. I haven't included Chinese characters as I work on an English system, and I'm
not sure how many people will have Chinese language support. Even fewer people will have pinyin fonts, so I didn't use that either.
I didn't use tones either, for the simple reason that I don't know them.
All external links will open in a new window.
