My name is Kristina He. Since I graduated from a teaching university I've been a teacher for six years, first teaching English and now teaching Chinese to foreigners who want to study Chinese in Beijing. I come from the north of China, so I have naturally clear Mandarin pronunciation. I have also worked in joint venture schools where I have learnt up-to-date teaching methods.
I have worked with a large number of foreigners who study Chinese in Beijing, and I have a good understanding of how different cultures like to work and study. I use interactive classes to let you use what you learn - use it in the class first, and it'll be easier in real life.
You can direct your study - you tell me what you want to learn. Whether you need to study Chinese for ordering food and taking taxis or for conducting meetings and making phone calls, I can prepare lessons to meet your needs. Of course, if you have no idea where to start, I can give you some ideas.
We will use a range of textbooks, according to your needs. We can study from general textbooks at any level, or specialised textbooks that improve your listening, characters, or other skills. If necessary I can prepare materials just for you.
You can study Chinese individually or in small groups, in your home, office or favourite Beijing cafe (but you pay for the coffee!). They can be as fun or as serious as you like - we can spend our time chatting about music, or learning 200 characters every hour - it's up to you.
