If you're going to tell us about your experience at a particular university, first - THANKS. Information like that is extremely valuable for future students. To help you cover as much relevant information as possible, you might want to refer to this list of points. Obviously you don't need to cover everything - any information at all is useful.

Application Process

How did you apply? Direct or through an agent? How good was communication? Did you apply via post, email, fax? How long did it take. What fees had to be paid up front, and how did you pay them? What documents were supplied, and what visa did you obtain?

Course and Funding

What course are / were you on, and when. What are the costs? Were there any university scholarships being handed out?

Arrival and registration

How organized and easy is the process of arriving at the university, checking into dorms if you're using them, registering for classes, paying fees, handling visa and residence permits if relevant. How much queuing is there? Can fees be paid by credit card?

Accommodation

What on-campus accommodation options are there? SIngle or shared rooms, en suite or shared bathrooms, kitchen and laundry facilities, curfews, security, cleaning, Internet access. What are the costs? Can you get money back if you choose to move out? Did you book accommodation before you arrived, and if so, how? And pretty pretty please, any photos?

Classes, Classrooms and Teachers

What specific classes did you take? How many students per class? Where do they come from? How many actually turn up? How good were the classes and teachers? How good were the classrooms - comfortable, heated, air-conditioned, big enough, etc? What textbooks did you use. Are there exams or homework? Are there extracurricular classes such as calligraphy or martial arts?

Campus and Environment

Where is the campus in relation to the rest of the city, and what transport is available back and forth? What is available on campus - banks, post office, restaurants, canteens, cafes, Internet cafes, bars, shops and supermarkets. How easy is it to meet and interact with Chinese students? Are students all on one campus?

Cost of Living and Budgeting

Outside of tuition fees and accommodation, how much did you spend, and on what?
