Female Fronted Rock Bands?

If you're into 海朋森, you could do worse than check out other releases on their label, Maybe Mars (streamable via BandCamp): http://downloads.maybemars.org/

You can also listen to English-hosted CN indie radio shows like the Sound Stage: http://thesoundstage.bandcamp.com/album/the-sound-stage-radio-show-from-cris-ezfm

Or just trawl through upcoming shows on Douban at various venues that host other bands you're interested in, though it's a bit of a slog.

Edit: Another one from Beijing: 后海大鲨鱼 (don't know if they have an English name... Shark in Houhai?)

According to http://thesoundstage.bandcamp.com/track/mystic-vampire-surfers-may-30th-2015-part-1, their English name seems to be "Queen Sea Big Shark"

So, I saw 朝生暮死 last night, and they were actually really good, if you're into that kind of music. The OP mentioned "more hardcore music"... if you mean hardcore punk as a genre, they ain't it, but if you mean heavy music in general, they're certainly heavy.

One of the few female fronted bands I have seen on stage in China (Beijing) is Blonde Redhead (a Japanese American frontwoman).

The scene in China needs more life, male, female, anything will do.
