living expenses in Taizhou, Zhejiang

Rcently got an offer in pharma in Taizhou. Planning to shift to Taizhou with family. Can some help me to know the living expenses for rent, food, primary schooling and other basc living needs. Please help....

I usually use this website and they seem fairly on the mark for Cost of Living. Numbeo, they didn't have Taizhou, but they did have some info for the next biggest city down the coast, Wenzhou. I bet those two cities are fairly close in costs and can at least give you an idea of where to start. Good luck!

I was born and raised in Taizhou. Depend on which county you live, there is minor difference between them with regard to expenses. Houseing or rent in Taizhou is fairly acceptable compared to Shanghai. However, you'll find that consumption of necessities, like fruits or vegetables is equal  or more expensive than in Shanghai or Hangzhou. I don't know whether you like local cuisines, I can say that Taizhou food is my favourite as I travel a lot whihin China.

 

Owing to the lack of upmarkt educational resources, primary schoolinng as you mentioned above might not be as good as those international schools in metropolis.
