Vietnamese Name in Chinese Characters

Tuan Nguyen

Thi Bich Nguyen

For "Tuan" if you could provide the meaning of it perhaps?

As for "Thi Bich Nguyen" if "Thi" means "poem" then it is 诗。shi(1)

If "Bich" means "jade" then it is 玉. yu(4)

As for "Nguyen" it is 阮ruan(2)

Hope it is correct!

Could somebody help me translate my vietnamese name in to chinese (pinyin and character)?

My name is Tiêu Chấn Bình.

Tiêu: means some kind of flute.

Chấn: I'm not sure what's the meaning of this word.

Bình: means perhaps peace (Bình an)

Tiêu = is the original character meaning flute, with the bamboo radical. Nowadays as a last name, it's changed from bamboo radical to grass radical to . = xiāo in Pinyin

Chấn = not sure. http://vdict.com/?autotranslation gives the Chinese character as 陳, which as a last name would be Tran in Vietnamese. = chén in Pinyin. 陳 means "old". I'm thinking it's mostly 振* from knowledge of Chinese names. Check ** below for the meaning of 振.

Bình = 平 = píng in Pinyin

"Đěnh with a dash on the D"

= 櫻, 英, etc...

Note: 櫻, 英 could also be Anh. 櫻, 英 = "Yīng" in Chinese Pinyin.

櫻: Đěnh seem to be the origin Vietnamese name, whereas Anh is Sino-Vietnamese?!

Vdict.com is unreliable for this character: It translates 櫻 from Chinese to Vietnamese as "Sakura". Sakura = Japanese, not Vietnamese.

PS Đěnh might also = those same characters as Anh.

Đěnh = 丁*

It translates 櫻 from Chinese to Vietnamese as "Sakura"

I see

1. anh

(xem: anh đào 櫻桃,樱桃)

Số nét: 21. Loại: Phồn thể. Bộ: 木 (mộc)

...but of course anh is Sino-Vietnamese.

Hi,

I need help to translate my children's names into Chinese characters.

1. My daughter's name is "Anh" - Loài chim giống chim yến

2. My son's name is "Luu" (Lu*u) - here is the definition for this name: Giữ lại, để lại lâu dài về sau, không (để) mất đi. Lưu công văn. Lưu tiếng thơm muôn thuở

It is even better if I can get these names written in a way so they will look like Chinese Characters.

I would like to edge these names on my chest so this is very important to me.

Thanks

Anh* has been posted before, please see previous posts... but depending on the accent mark on the A, it could be 光 [light], etc...

Lu'u** = most of the Chinese words which is "lau" in Cantonese or "liu" in Mandarin pronunciations.

TRAN Thanh-Sang

TRAN = 陳 [sino-Vietnamese equivalent indirectly from Cantonese]

Thanh = 成 [sino-Vietnamese equivalent indirectly from Cantonese]

Sanh [i think you meant this?] = 生 [sino-Vietnamese equivalent indirectly from Cantonese]: "Sang" doesn't exist in Vietnamese.

林 愛 珍

林 = Lâm [from Cantonese]

愛 = Ái [from Mandarin]

珍 = Trằn , Trân , or Trâng [sino-Vietnamese equivalent indirectly from Cantonese]

Hi, I'm not sure if I'm in the right thread, but if I do make a mistake, then please forgive me. I'm wondering if anybody can help translate my Chinese name to Vietnamese. My Chinese name is 文奥理 (Wen2 Ao4 Li3).

Rough translations of the words

文 (Wen2) = Culture, literature. I think it's Van in Vietnamese

奥 (Ao4) = profound, mysterious. I need help finding the Vietnamese equivalent.

理 (Li3) = reason, logic. I think it's Lu in Vietnamese.

Would really appreciate if someone can help me translate my name to Vietnamese, if possible with the tonal signs :)

Thanks!

Aulia
