I thought the day would never come. Too bad for them a good portion of the people who bought the first book when it came out (including myself) have long since moved on. But at least it's finally coming out.

Not sure if anyone around here is planning to pick up book 2, but there's some talk at the Remembering the Hanzi forum of collaborating to get an anki deck up and running as soon as possible after the book's release (it's already being shipped to those who pre-ordered). If you're interested in helping out on the deck, go ahead and say so in this thread or just send me a PM with your email and I'll see to it you're added to the mailing list when the project gets started.
Can't wait to have those next 1500 characters down cold =)

I guess no one else is using the book as of yet, but for posterity's sake, I thought I'd point out that the gang at the other forum pitched in to prepare a google docs spreadsheet with all the pertinent information for RTH2 and RSH2. It can be found here: https://docs.google....pLVnVNbGc#gid=0
Anki decks are also available by searching Anki's Shared Decks. Happy Heisig-ing

The links to the sample chapters for the second book are a bit hidden, here they are for those who didn't see them:
Simp: http://www.uhpress.h...anzi2Sample.pdf
Trad: http://www.uhpress.h...anzi2Sample.pdf
Considering the second book will include even fewer pre-made stories than the first, there doesn't seem to be much the book gives you, that's not on the spreadsheet.

Well, there are a number of new primitives as well, which aren't reflected on the spreadsheet. But you could make your own names up for those I guess. Still, these guys have done something truly ingenious and deserve to be compensated for it!

Well, we're past the end of May - anyone got their hands on it yet?

Yes, it took them forever to ship the book from Hawaii to London but I received my copy a while ago.
As was mentioned before, the second book has almost no pre-made stories.
It does, however, have helpful notes, such as clarifications on how the keywords are to be understood in cases of ambiguity and of course the meanings they gave to the primitives appearing in the second book.
If you're serious about studying another 1.500 characters by the Heisig-method, it's probably worth the money.

What I really love is the sorting of HSK vocabulary by Heisig chapter:
