Looking to study for a semester in China

Hi,

I would like to study Chinese language for a single semester in China.

I have about £2500 saved up to do this (including everything except flights - tuition fees, living expenses etc.)  Location isn't that important to be, nor is the university ranking as a long as they have a decent teaching programme.  Is this enough money?

I'd like to hear from someone with personal experience.

Also, if I study for a semester, what kind of visa will I get, and what kind of checks will I need?

Thanks guys,

Ink

I'd strongly prefer a university.

Actually I just found something extremely interesting at a university near Shanghai, they will offer me free tuition and accommodation, in return I need to tutor English for 8 hours per week.

That sounds interesting, right?

Are you guys aware of any other universities that have programmes like this? I searched on google unsuccessfully.

Thanks
