Xiao meaning crazy

limyee

Recommended Posts

I remember when I used to be in a Chinese school me and my friends say xiao xiao when someone goes crazy and even heard something like xiao liang. I am trying to figure out the right characters for it but I am not sure if my pingyin was right or if it is a slang word. Has anyone used these words before?  :help

I think Geiko is right. Limyee, do you know what dialect your friends speak? Judging from your name here, it might well be Minnanese (Taiwanese/Hokkien).

Oh, probably my friend used his Taiwanese Dialect. I just assumed he was saying a Mandarin word because our school uses Mandarin >w< Thank you for reminding me~

Could it be 痟? There's also 痟痟 (siáu siáu) and 痟人 (siáu lâng)

Thank you Geiko! Probably these were the words my friend used. :)

Could if be 囂 as in 囂張?

Thank you skylee but is there any double meaning to the word 囂張? I tried looking at my dictionary and it said the meaning was arrogant.
