OneEye Posted August 7, 2014 at 02:21 PM Report Share Posted August 7, 2014 at 02:21 PM enjoy nature and weather What kind of weather do you enjoy? Though I loved living in Taipei (which I believe has similar weather to Xiamen), I couldn't stand the weather there because it was either hot, humid, and rainy or cool (10-15ºC), humid, and even rainier. People's response when I said I didn't like the weather was always "Move further south" (to Taichung/Tainan/Kaohsiung) because there's less rain and the winters are warmer. I thought they were insane. One of the main reasons I didn't like the weather was because it was too damn hot! Moving closer to the equator was not an option! To me, perfect weather is cold (within reason), sunny, and dry, so I'm really looking forward to winter in Tokyo. So if like me, "enjoying the weather" means you like it to get cold, people's recommendations will be different than if you prefer the heat. zhouhaochen Posted August 12, 2014 at 04:02 AM Report Share Posted August 12, 2014 at 04:02 AM Can you just go to any city you like? I assume there is a list of places you can go there. Also you really need to be a bit more specific in what you are looking for. Harbin is great, but -40 degrees in the winter, Xiamen pretty but they do not speak very standard Mandarin. Big or small city? Mandarin immersion or international friends? Nightlife? Cost of living? What does "enjoy weather mean for you"? With enjoy nature, what do you mean? Nature is best enjoyed in the nature, but those places tend to offer very little in terms of other entertainment....
