Where are the night markets?

Hi guys! I'm feeling so reminiscent of the night markets in Harbin but can't seem to find any around my area. I'm currently in wudaokou, but I don't mind traveling out if it means seeing a nice market.

If you guys have any good places to go to as well, I'd be happy to hear them. I can't seem to find anywhere that I like, though I've only been here a week so I guess it takes time.

Thanks!

I live in WU too. Don't know any "food streets" nearby at all.

Don't really know any in BJ apart from the tourist one at Wangfujin. Went there once as we were shopping nearby, prices are very inflated.

Hope someone else can shed light on this!

P.s. If you live in BJ, you should have come to the Beijing Chinese forum meet up the weekend just gone!

dont go to the Wangfujing tourist trap insect market. It gives you a bad belly and has nothing to do with traditional Beijing food.

Beijingers tend to prefer to sit on a table outside a little restaurant eating 羊肉串儿and drink 燕京啤酒 over running around in a market.

And yes, why didnt you come to the meet up? We had a record breaking five participants!
