smokeyrosy Posted October 25, 2014 at 06:40 PM Report Share Posted October 25, 2014 at 06:40 PM I want to know if there are websites that provide Chinese folktales or children stories audio with accompanying text. I am new to Chinese learning, so I want to use Chinese folktales or children stories to learn Chinese.
akdn Posted October 26, 2014 at 08:40 AM Report Share Posted October 26, 2014 at 08:40 AM The World Stories site has got Chinese folk stories in English, Mandarin and Cantonese, accompanied by PDFs and MP3s. They were developed for UK primary school children who speak English as a second language. Even so, they contain quite complex ideas and language, so I doubt its value as a resource for learning Chinese basics. Just goes to show, I suppose, that 'young learners' are not always 'beginners' in a language.
Bad Cao Cao Posted October 27, 2014 at 12:11 AM Report Share Posted October 27, 2014 at 12:11 AM akdn, that's a nice link. But nothing about frogs stuck down wells, dudes shooting down suns, or old guys moving mountains?
