Speak Good Chinese

Hi all,

 

I recently started playing around with the software "Speak Good Chinese" to get an idea of which tone combinations cause me the most trouble.

 

I was just curious as to how reliable you guys think it is. My voice is fairly low so at least twenty percent of the time it doesn't even pick it up, especially my third tones. I've chosen the lowest setting but it's still a recurring problem.

 

I'm sure I've read a few threads discussing this software and the software it's based on, but I don't recall any specific discussion regarding how reliable it is.

 

Any thoughts?

I have listened this software's pronunciation, as a native, I think it's not so good. It didn't like a native speaker's pronunciation.

maybe because this sound is made by computer compose.

Thanks for talking the time to check it out. As you say, the pronunciation in the software if pretty bad. However, I'm most interested in knowing how accurate it is in determining whether or not your tones are correct.

I suggest you can follow the video that made by native speaker. although the pronounce(发音) in the software is not so good, but the tone(音调) in it is pretty good. 

If you still don't know whether your speaking is correct, you make ask me..
