Chinese text in use in China

The signese forum seems to have died a death (or should I say, become Skylee's personal travelogue), possibly because it's difficult to find.

Anyway, I know a lot of users here haven't been to China, so I thought I'd share a few pictures of Chinese text (signs and whatnot), for people to see real Chinese in everyday use.

Edit: Sorry about the pictures being sideways. Blame my iPad for that.

Re #1, sorry for making singese my travelog.

No need to apologize. It wasn't a criticism against you. It's more just a comment that no one else seems to use it.

The photo orientation is a real problem

I didn't know that would be the case when I started writing the post. I will reorient them when I have a chance.

I meant it was a real problem that the admin should deal with. But perhap it is a problem with my cell phones? I don't know. Many of my normal-looking photos are shown in a wrong orientation (portrait -> landscape) having been uploaded from my cell phones (Samsung Note 2 and Note 4) to this website. I (and another user IIRC) have mentioned it before but it is still like this.

The iPhone/iPad doesn't ever orient the photos, it sets a flag in the file's metadata that says 'left side is up' or 'bottom side is up' etc.  When you upload images to most websites the metadata is wiped (for a variety of reasons, but often because it can contain personal information such as image location and whatnot), and this includes the rotation flag, and traditionally (before the iPhone came out) people rarely used that flag anyway, and just rearranged the order of the bytes of the image so that the top was at the top.

What then happens is a picture that originally had the left side as the top with a flag saying 'left is top', is now just an image rotated to the left.  This problem also happens with image software that ignores the orientation flag.
