Calendar question

Shelley

Recommended Posts

My latest lesson is about dates, months and years. One of the exercises is to substitute dates from the choices given. I have attached a scan of the choices.

i am trying to work out what the 小and the 大 mean. all I have been able to find out is that it is something to do with Lunar Month Attributes but nothing more.

What are Lunar Month Attributes?

There is no mention of this in the lesson or the lesson notes

Also is this suppose to represent a sample of a Chinese calendar?.

Any ideas?

#2 is right. So you can see that a lunar year of 12 months is considerably shorter than a year in the Gregorian calendar, which means that there are leap years. According to the Chinese lunar calendar, a leap year has a whole additional lunar month instead of just an additional day in February as in the Gregorian calendar.
