DeFrancis Readers Vocabulary Lists (Chinese only, Traditional)

Update: I merged the three list files into one and added brackets so that pleco doesn't think they are simplified characters

Edit: This file still contains entries with / and (). I am not sure what pleco makes of those, but maybe I will create another file with those removed. I would have to choose one of the options for each entry, though.

Edit2: I deleted the file since I made a mistake, if you already downloaded it please search for Lesson1 and fix formatting errors, they are obvious... I will upload a better version some time in the future.

Edit3: I hope this is the final version, I removed all (兒) and did some editing so that Pleco hopefully finds a match in one of the dictionaries for almost all entries.

Edit4: See first post for most recent version

Just use the DeFrancisReadersPleco.txt and import it as flashcards in Pleco, check the manual if you don't know how. Make sure you use the "Definition Source: Prefer File" option so that you get the translations of the sentence patterns, the other definitions can be from the dictionaries of your choice.

@wibr - Any objection to me integrating these lists into my Android app?

The app is intended for HSK learners, but it would be no great effort to introduce another set of characters for a different audience.  The app is "really simple HSK" and can be found here:

@pcnihongo - Good luck with your app too, I'm sure there is room for both on people's phones!  :D

Hello everyone, it has been a long time since I have posted. Currently, I am putting the vocabulary of "Beginning  Chinese," "Beginning Chinese Reader" into a database. I already have and iOS app for Beginning Chinese and Beginning Chinese Reader and will be adding the intermediate and advanced versions of the Defrancis series in the near future.I do have a vocabulary that has both the characters and their definitions.
