Buying an oven

Year before last on Singles Day, I bought an oven off Taobao for ¥249.  A great deal, and it worked fine.  It fit my full size cake pans, made BBQ chicken, all that good stuff. :D  Didn't use it often.  A year or so later, it pops the circuit breaker a few seconds after being turned on.  Call repair, they say the bottom heating element has failed and they can't get a replacement.  I tell them just move the broiler from the top and use that.  ¥200 repair bill.  But still, worth it for an oven that usually goes for ¥800, right?  It lasts for another couple months and starts popping the circuit breaker again.  :wall

So I gotta buy a new oven, but all the choices are baffling.  The price goes from way too cheap, just gonna break again, up to 2000 yuan plus, which is more than I wanna spend.  Anyone know how to buy an oven? :help  They don't really compete on features at all.  I mean, it's an electric oven, it heats food.  Silliness like a rotisserie attachment is just gilding the lily.  The only difference is the internal volume measured in liters, and that's not particularly important as long as it fits a full size cake pan.  Anyone bought an oven recently?  What did you look for?   :P

Hmm, 800 yuan and a foreign name brand?  How long have you had it?  Any problems?  I mostly just don't know how much is reasonable to spend in order to get a model that doesn't break, but not so much I'm wasting money on appliances.  For some reason appliances like ovens and refrigerators have a really high ceiling on how much you can spend.  30x the price of the lower models.

That one Gato linked to looked good. We have a cheapo Chinese one we got on sale. It's about the size of a microwave and is good for toast, roasting small cuts of meat etc. I wouldn't wanna do anything serious in it.
