I don't live there.

The toilets (I am talking about Zijingang, new dorm for international students) are ok, Western style too, don't worry.

Since I don't live there I can't tell you much about gyms. There is a FamilyMart on campus, a school supermarket and much more. The only problem is location. Yuquan and Xixi are in such a beautiful area.

Also do you know anything about the MBBS program there? I know its one of the best ones in China but I just wanted to know about it from a student that actually studies there. I know you're not in that program but maybe you know something about it? Also I wanted to know about your life there. Is it easy being an international student? Is learning the language easy? Culture shock.. etc.

I know someone who studied medicine, I am not sure if it's exactly the same program, she was here for five and a half years. Her program was in English. She wishes she learned more Chinese because she was not able to talk to all the patients.

Maybe you can try to learn some Chinese, she found it difficult to work on her Chinese while studying medicine. The rest? Yeah, it can get though, but you can try to survive the bad times. The worst part is the pollution. It's better than Beijing, but still not good. Otherwise, you will be fine.

I think its the same course because I'm applying for the MBBS in English course. I'm going to take a 3 month intensive mandarin course before I come to China so maybe that will help me out a bit. I'm really good with languages so I hope that Chinese doesn't become a problem for me. But thanks for all the information you provided me with, it was really helpful(:

Also, if I get my health check up done in my country before I come to China, will I have to do it again in China?

It will be valid for six months. If you come to China with a valid one, please take it with you when the university sends you to get a new one in China. You will probably be asked to pay around 50元 for their stamp of approval. If it's not valid anymore, you might have to do it again in China and pay more, around 500元.

You don't know what will happen in China. Be ready to pay the money if they ask you and don't forget to take the one you did back home when they tell you to do a physical in China. Even if it's not valid anymore, take it just in case.

Hello, I'm applying for long term Chinese program in March. Does anybody have the same intention?

I have requested the dorm from the school. Does anybody know where is the the dorm for the language program?

What are the facilities provided by the dorm?

Thank you

The two dorm buildings I know about are positioned beside the north gate of the campus.  Classrooms are actually inside the dorm buildings so you don't need to walk far when you get up in the morning to go to class.

You will have an ensuite, a small room, and a shared kitchen.

I would like to ask, does anyone happen to know whom should I contact regarding obtaining the pre-admission notice from Zhejiang University, the one that is needed for the scholarship application? I have called the university admission office today and was informed that they accept only self-supporting students, whereas I clearly remember the Chinese language programme in ZheDa that I want to apply for has been listed as eligible for the CSC on the CSC website...The lady wasn't able to tell me whom I should contact regarding this...
