I applied directly to Shanghai Jiao Tong University and I am still waiting for Chinese Government Scholarship results. They told me results will be out in mid of July. PERHAPS we might find out first week.. but don't expect it. We CAN find out as late as July 31st, so before freaking out, remember that. No worrying is necessary until Aug 1st, lolol. I'm more annoyed than anything.. I'm about to just buy my dang flight and bet on it. It's slowly going up in price and that's pretty much my biggest concern. No, this was my first time. 6) What program did you apply for? 1 year Chinese Language Program + 2 Years Masters in Business Administration. 7) What schools did you put for your preferences? Yes, I even traveled to China to interview last year. 9) What agency number did you use? 10358 10) Where did you get your physical done? Hospital in my city Santo Domingo. I brought the Fisical Examination form and told the doc what it was about. 11) Did you get your documents notarized? Yes, my transcripts and degree 12) Were you accepted for the scholarship, if you were not then why? Yes! Thank God. 13) Did you receive any university admission letters (prior to receiving a scholarship)? Yes, I receieved a preadmission letter from the professor I interviewed with. 14) How were you notified? Email 15) When were you accepted/rejected? Received the email on June 24th, 2015. The email mentioned I should reply back accepting the scholarship before June 27, then they sent another saying they are sending me the physical paperwork so I can bring to the consulate and get my student visa etc. 16) What school and program were you accepted to? The embassy informed me that I got the scholarship on July 17, 2013 by email. They were a bit late that year compared to others. I'd say that we're likely to start hearing results in the next two weeks. And this was for Canadian students, but I remember students from other countries started to get results before that. I was nominated by the ministry of education for the CSC and they told me that there is no guarantees that I will get the scholarship although I am eligible and I have a very good GPA. So no one knows what will happen and how but we should be always optimistic and wish for the best. I hope that all of us will get the scholarship. Have a nice day everybody. I Got a 3.0 GPA (13.6/20) and I did apply through the ministry of education too (eventhough it's the embassy of my country which is in charge of submitting applications to CSC).
