FYI: It seems to me that there’s a minor mistake regarding the last one though. The right part of“壮” should be a 士 instead of a 土.

Very nice couplets! But I think there's something wrong about "吉". I like the "萬" in your couplet, cause that's my family name. My blog is about Chinese culture and Chinese students in America, and the address is http://ananwan.wordpress.com/.

Well it's not linguistically wrong, but it's ugly. The second horizontal stroke isn't long enough. It should be about as long as that in 千.
