How to include characters, pinyin and definition in supermemo export?

Hi,

I'm trying to use zdt to export a list of chinese words into Supermemo on a PDA (Windows Mobile 2005).

If I use supermemo Unicode format for export, it only seems to include the character (as question) and the pinyin (as answer), but not the definitions. If I use the HTML export, it includes characters (as quest), pinyin and definitions (both together as answer), but the font used to display chinese characters in SuperMemoCE is horrid (cannot make out the detail of the character), and I dont always want the pinyin and definition appearing together in the answer.

It would be great if there was a way be able to select which columns in zdt should be exported to the Supermemo file each time you do an export, and whether two columns should be merged into the answer.

Is this something that could be added to the supermemo plugin?

Regards,

Ben

I don't know if this is the answer your looking for but I hope it helps.

OK CHINESE AND ALL OTHER LANGUAGE FIX for SUPERMEMO!!!!

After hours of searching and trying to figure out how to display Chinese on SuperMemo, I found this to work.

(NOTE: YOU must have a Chinese font installed like Moster, CEStar etc)

1. Make your normal Q&A files

2. Convert them to Unicode to NCR (decimal)

A free application that I have been using is Babel Pad found here

http://www.babelstone.co.uk/Software/BabelPad.html

- Just highlight and use the command "Convert Unicode to NCR (decimal)" (in the Convert menu). DO NOT use "Convert Unicode to NCR (Hex)"

3. Highlight the text and put it into WordPad and save as normal ANSI file

4. Import and use in PPC!
