He was a famous artisit in Ming dynasty. the second one says "十二砚斋". it seems to be the name of a literary club in Ming dynasty or Qing. (The club was in Yangzhou, but i could hardly find anything on google). the third one was printed upside down. The first character is "隐", and it is only character i can recognize. Actually, there's an inscription on the second and third seals, will post photos in a few minutes -- the one on the third seal is six columns in length, the one on the second, only two. skylee Posted January 11, 2007 at 11:59 PM Report Share Posted January 11, 2007 at 11:59 PM As far as I can tell, the photo at #11 shows a poem of a Yuan Dynasty writer Zhang Kejiu (張可久). The poem -> 《春晚》 西山暮雨暗蒼煙，南浦春風艤畫船。水流雲去人空戀，傷心思去年，可憐景物依然。海棠鸜鵒，岩花杜鵑，楊柳秋千。 The picture at #9 shows a name "秋子", which could be a name of a seal maker/artist. There is another name "水X子" (I am not sure what the second character is) who I guess could be the name another artist. The picture at #10 shows a record saying that the seal was made in the spring of the year 丙寅 (could be 1986). It says "敍府城外城屛翠山 丙寅春企周寫生". shibo77 Posted January 14, 2007 at 02:22 AM Report Share Posted January 14, 2007 at 02:22 AM A little additional information: 宜宾市Yibing City, originally called 叙州府Xu Prefecture, is located in the southern Sichuan province, directly south of Chengdu, near the Yunnan provincial border. 屏翠山Mount Pingcui is located on the city's west. 秋子Qiuzi I guess is the engraver, and 水仙子Shuixianzi (here engraved traditionally: 水僊子) is the form of the song of 春晚Chunwan.
