I have tried that. I installed four different fonts in XP, but Photoshop can only see one of the them which is the last one I installed. Any idea about that?

Thanks.

What kind of fonts are they? Traditional? Simplified? Unicode font? What IME are you using? Typing Simp or Trad Chinese?

wywjan1, you don't install fonts, you added them in Control Panel under Regional Settings

  • You can cut and past them into photoshop, after typing them in word.
  • You should also be able to type them in with the IME. if it is not working right be sure that Chinese [CN] is selected and that the 中 character is selected, not the 英 character on the language bar. To check this you will have to choose "show language bar."
sometimes when you use the IME to type them in photoshop, you just come up with the boxes. if this happens select the text and change it to SimSum or SimHei. If you try to change it but they are not options in the fonts, then you need to install them.

I have the same issue. when I type chinese in NJstar and cutpaste into photoshop it is just blank.

what i have ended up doing is cutting and pasting into Paint, and save it as a .bmp or .jpg and then just opening it as an image in PS. :)
