Kiwijes Posted January 31, 2007 at 08:23 PM Report Share Posted January 31, 2007 at 08:23 PM Hi (apologising now if this is in the wrong forum), I read in some China travel book the other day that "most" Chinese sayings/quotes are written in 4 characters. When I look up chinese sayings/quotes on google I get a range of stuff. Can anyone reccomend a site that is full of these 4 character quotes only? Thanks in advance! Learner Posted February 1, 2007 at 12:12 AM Report Share Posted February 1, 2007 at 12:12 AM The following site is the best online resource I know for chengyu (as these four-character expressions are known): it includes more than thirty thousand of them, and gives not only their meaning but also usage examples, synonyms, antonyms, etc. http://www.chinese-tools.com/chinese/chengyu/dictionary Learner
