tieulongnu17 0 Report post Posted November 1, 2010 Hi, can anyone translate " Nguyen Bao Phuong " to Chinese name? Thanks alotzzzz
renzhe 1,678 Report post Posted November 3, 2010 Nguyen is 阮. I don't know about the given name, but usually knowing the meaning behind the name is really helpful. Otherwise, it's very difficult to know which characters are used. The surname Đoàn is probably 段.
fengyixiao 8 Report post Posted November 3, 2010 Nguyen Bao Phuong 阮宝凤?
skylee 1,912 Report post Posted November 3, 2010 I think "Nguyen Bao Phuong " could be 阮寶芳 - Nguyen precious perfume/fragrance. " Đoàn Việt Đức " might be 段越德. "Anh-Tuan" could be 英俊 (Anh Tuấn). [This one is less uncertain as we know the meaning.] "Hoàng Minh Khánh" could be 黃明慶 or 黃明卿. I guessed them. Take a look at this for reference -> http://zh.wikipedia....Clpro2/NameViet PS - Phạm Thu Thảo and Phạm Thu Trang might be 范秋草 and 范秋莊 respectively. LyYenKhang 7 Report post Posted November 23, 2010 I am looking for the translate of Lý Yên Khang. I am interest mainly in the Pinyin pronunciation more than the actual characters, since I can look those up in my Han-Viet or Chu Nom dictionary. Yên as in yên bình (peace, peaceful) Khang as in an khang (alive, healthy) Thank you.

盤古 11 Report post Posted June 14, 2011 Some of these names could be a few different characters depending on who chose the name. I will choose the most likely ones. Thân - 紳 Shēn - A gentleman or a scholar. Thanh - 清 Qīng - Clear, pure or 青 Qīng - Youthful, young. Liêm - 廉 Lián - Honorable, upright, honest. Not sure what you mean by "Tha/i". truecoloryu 0 Report post Posted June 15, 2011 Thanks 盘古! If Thân is a family name which Chinese charactor would it be?
盤古 11 Report post Posted June 15, 2011 If it's a surname then it would be 申 Shēn. It's a relatively rare surname, at least for Chinese. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shen_(surname)#.E7.94.B3_Family
