Quest 19
please, if new posts quote or follow from the development of previous posts within the same thread, let them stay in the same thread. it's kinda weird to start a new topic to reply to and quote from posts in another topic. wix 10
I have started two new topics. Chopsticks and Chinese: monosyllabic or polysyllabic? It is fine to quote something from another thread in starting a new topic. Let's keep this thread for discussing characters vs phonetic writing systems.
roddy 5,541
it's kinda weird to start a new topic to reply to and quote from posts in another topic. I see your point, and sometimes it can be a little confusing. However, it's a lot more confusing to have a thread with the title 'Characters and Phonetic Writing systems' which discusses character input methods, reasons for learning Chinese characters, chopsticks, etc. It's particularly a problem for those who are new to the board and trying to find specific information. nathanuk88 0
I think that chinese characters are better becuase they look nicer, here in the west when you can write chinese people think it's cool and stuff! Look: I 我 Which looks better?????!!!!!!!??????? THE CHINESE ONE! [Closing. Roddy]
