I am weighting up the accommodation possibilities for that time. The school offers a dormitory flat 4USD/day/student. The room is in a dormitory flat (living room, toilet + shower, kitchen, 3 bedrooms and the price incl. air conditioning and heating in the living room, bed with a heater, linen, drinking water (cold an hot), internet in the living room. BUT I might be coming with my boyfriend, so I need to find an alternative for the accommodation. We are under 40's and what we would be looking for is a nice, clean, safe accommodation (1livingroom, 1 bedroom, tv, Internet connection, kitchen, shower, toilet in the apartment). Could I have some opinions on the accommodation matter please? Does anyone know in which part of the city the school is located? How do you find the dormitory flats pricing? Expensive/cheap? The alternative option for accommodation: where would you look for it? Any hints regard to it otherwise are also warmly welcomed. The place and rooms are ok, but you won't have a chance of renting anything nearby, so that leaves two options, ask for a private room for you two or stay in the city and spend 40 rmb on taxi fare one way. I did the program in 2004 and have lived in Chengdu after that, I was quite happy about the program, although the location sometimes felt a bit too far away. I suppose the University you are going to take is 四川科技职工大学(http://www.sckjzgdx.com/), right? this University is not located inside Chengdu urban districts , it is in LongQuanYi District, which is a smaller town on the east of Chengdu, about half an hour driving time from Chengdu city. I don't think it is very easy to find a nice, clean, safe accommodation nearby the school, and I think the price would be $200~$300USD per month. Also, I need to look for other options for studying Chinese Business Culture in China, maybe even a bit shorter period of time? Thank you again for the time and information given.
