I seem to recall noticing that the recent changes link was missing at one point, but that also seems to be back now. If anyone's having trouble let me know and I'll see if I can figure it out. For those from Germany, open a Postbank SparCard 3000 Plus Direkt. Even though its a savings account you get a VisaPlus card which can be used charge-free all over the world (wherever there is a VisaPlus sign) for the first 10 (or 12?) withdrawals. After that its about 5EUR per withdrawal. The exchange rates are excellent too (unlike with credit card withdrawals). You cannot withdraw more than 2000EUR per calendar month which is fine for most people's needs. I've found VisaPlus ATMs to be all over the place (at least in China, India, Japan, South Korea as well as Europe).
