Guest Gregory Posted May 19, 2004 at 04:33 PM Report Share Posted May 19, 2004 at 04:33 PM Hi Everyone, Has anyone heard of a game, which I believe originated in China, called "Rock, paper, scissors" ?? Basically two people make a fist, count 1,2,3 and either hold out a closed fist ("rock"), a flat hand ("paper") or the 2nd and 3rd fingers extended like a pair of scissors. The idea is that paper covers rock, rock makes scissors blunt, and scissors cuts paper, or something like that. I'm trying to find out the name of this game in Chinese. Can anyone write the characters for me please? Many thanks. Gregory

skylee Posted May 19, 2004 at 10:48 PM Report Share Posted May 19, 2004 at 10:48 PM Art Garfunkel has a love song (among many of his) called Scissors Cut - "If they ever drop the bomb," you said,"I'll find you in the flames." But now we act like people Who don't know each other's names. Well, sometimes it makes me sad, you know. Sometimes it makes me smile. 'Cause you know how the game goes, honey. We all eat it once in awhile. Scissors cut, paper covers rock Breaks the shining scissor You hurt me I hurt her and she goes and we will miss her Now, I look around at people Playing children's games. And I wonder if you're still thinking You might find me somewhere in the flames. Scissors cut, paper covers rock Breaks the shining scissor You hurt me I hurt her and she goes and we will miss her
