rezaf Posted October 5, 2008 at 05:32 AM Report Share Posted October 5, 2008 at 05:32 AM Is there a difference between 预定 and 预订? Which one do you use for booking a hotel room, flight etc?
Philee Posted October 5, 2008 at 06:32 AM Report Share Posted October 5, 2008 at 06:32 AM 预定 means plan in advance 预订 means book in advance where 预 means in advance 定 means to plan 订 means to book so use 预订 in booking a hotel

kenny123 Posted October 5, 2008 at 07:28 AM Report Share Posted October 5, 2008 at 07:28 AM 定 means "to decide".订 means "to book" so you should use "预订酒店"
msittig Posted October 5, 2008 at 01:03 PM Report Share Posted October 5, 2008 at 01:03 PM Use google or baidu as a Chinese search engine, it may give you surprise findings. I suggest Google and Baidu Zhidao, but not Baidu. Baidu's rankings are junk compared to Google, but Baidu Zhidao knows many, many things.
