eklypze Posted June 22, 2004 at 11:37 PM Report Share Posted June 22, 2004 at 11:37 PM Hi everyone. Right now I am looking for a place that I can learn to write Chinese characters. I can speak a little Mandarin, but not very well. I would like to learn Chinese writing because I am half Chinese myself and would like to be able to speak and write Chinese. I cannot afford any books at the moment, and can't get a teacher. So the only way I can learn is off the internet, can someone recommend me a good site that I can learn to write Chinese? I am looking for a site that can teach me enough so that I can read a Chinese newspaper, or at least some of it. Thanks in advance!

eklypze Posted June 23, 2004 at 06:29 PM Author Report Share Posted June 23, 2004 at 06:29 PM Thanks for the links. I have already checked Google. A lot of the links I ran into didn't have what I wanted so I thought it might be easier to just ask.

Anyone who really can't afford a basic Chinese textbook probably has more immediate problems than learning Chinese.

eklypze Posted June 25, 2004 at 07:20 PM Author Report Share Posted June 25, 2004 at 07:20 PM I forgot to mention, no bookstores near me have any Chinese textbooks and I cannot order online because I don't have a credit card either. So learning online is the only option I can think of right now.
