yonglin Posted November 16, 2008 at 07:23 PM Report Share Posted November 16, 2008 at 07:23 PM Before. The best thing is to put them on a tray and freeze them separately. Once they're hard and frozen through, you can put them in a bag or box without anything sticking together. You can boil/steam them right from frozen. randall_flagg Posted November 16, 2008 at 09:40 PM Report Share Posted November 16, 2008 at 09:40 PM Before, I agree. But I didn't know that until I heated up a plate of frozen jiaozi a couple weeks after CNY this year. Hot, yet raw -- is THAT the middle way? heifeng Posted November 18, 2008 at 04:51 PM Report Share Posted November 18, 2008 at 04:51 PM dust a tray or plate with flour and then set the wrapped dumplings on there. Freeze them until they are hard and then take them off the tray and throw them into a ziplock bag....basically what Yonglin said Before, I agree. But I didn't know that until I heated up a plate of frozen jiaozi a couple weeks after CNY this year. Hot, yet raw -- is THAT the middle way? ? Did you boil them? lzreading Posted January 19, 2009 at 05:46 PM Report Share Posted January 19, 2009 at 05:46 PM To cook it, you just need to put the frozen jiaozi into the boiling water. Carefully stir in one direction (clockwise or anti-clockwise) so that they don't stick to each other or on the bottom of the sauce pan. Then put on the lid and wait till the water is boiled again and all the jiaozi are floating on the surface. Add a glass of cold water and bring to boil again without the lid on. Now they are ready to eat.
Missy_C Posted January 25, 2009 at 04:17 PM Report Share Posted January 25, 2009 at 04:17 PM I freeze them when cooked.. and then microwave them to eat.. but that's my lazy way. Also I don't boil my jiaozi's.. I panfry them for 3 minutes and then add half cup of water in the skillet. When all the water evaporates, then the jiaozi's are done..
