I am going to study Chinese language in Ocean University of China this spring and am bringing my almost 4 year old son. There are a few things I would like to know ahead of time, things like accomodation while I am looking for an apartment, if it is relatively easy to find 2-bedroom furnished apartment near the campus (on East Hong Kong Rd.) and approximate rental price. I also would like to know how long it generally takes to get settled (if the process of renting, etc. is usually smooth, or a lot of hassle). Below is what I need to do before my class starts: Finding a 2-bedroom furnished apartment Picking a kindergarten for my son. I have a list of kindergarten and plan to visit each of them to be able to make a decision. Registering myself to the university and my son to kindergarten. Getting to know the city (i.e. knowing basic things like supermarket, major bus/train route/stations) Thank you in advance.
