It uses memory techniques, like visualisation ot help you remember Hanzi(a bit like Heisig) Does angyone know where I could find a list of gthe different components (what heisig calls primitives) on the web. Preferably as a mnemosyne/ supermemo file. Ideally with drawings and descriptions. This would include more than just radicals. However, so far as I've been able to find, there's nothing available in the way of flashcard databases specifically for the Matthews book yet... oddly enough, as it's excellent IMO. According to newyorkeric, in this thread: I contacted the publisher of the Mathews' book. He said volume 2 will be released in 2009 or later.
