I started with pinyin and I'm not really ready to make the transition to character recognition yet. Those students who can read, write and speak Chinese really blow me away. I do have a fav pinyin word though; xiōngdìjiěmèi -Something nice about the way it rolls off the tongue. Is there a format for this study group or do you just kind of wing it?
