When I was in China my friend was telling me of how powerful the great Terracotta Warrior were. Does anyone know any history on them. Also, are they really undefeated in battle?

well, after the reform of Shang Yang, the Qin kingdom had become

a war machine, the people were governed by strict laws, the men

had only two duties- one is husbandry, the other is fighting, comparing

with the other six relaxed countries, it's not surprised that Qin united

china. It seemed that the founded Qin's weapons builted in the same

standard, which probably means they had a system of mass product.

Crossbow were popularly used in Qin's army which could easily damaged

the loricaes of the other kingdom's soldiers. They also adopted army

ranks in the soldiers, so the management of the troop must be better

too. Qin is Sparta of China at that time.

Don't forget that the Qin emperor also burnt books and buried scholars alive. He wanted to enforce legalism over all the other hundred schools that had flourished during the Warring States. It was only because some scholars hid texts and even memorized whole books that anything from before the period survives.

Why is it that so many of China's great leaders, while improving the lot of the people and the power of the state, inflicted so much suffering at the same time?

Had anyone seen «Fahrenheit 9/11»? Are those true accounts?

The facts presented are pretty much true. The conclusions from those truths reached by Moore, however, are just speculation. One problem with Moore is that he tries too hard to spin the facts to make it fit his conspiracy theory. For some people this makes him sound less credible. Regardless though, many of the facts presented by the movie are still pretty damning against Bush.
