It is most probably a mistake the press made , with a slim chance of being a dialectical expression, hehe. Mistakes are not rare in Chinese books. You may find many (fewer in textbooks, more in other sorts) goning through a book, either misused characters or twisted(poorly constructed) sentences. Shame on Chinese publishing houses.
