Using QQ

Chinadoog

Recommended Posts

So I just downloaded the Chinese version of QQ but I have no idea how to use characters with it. Whenever I type, it just shows up as normal letters but doesn't give me the option to choose a character.

Any advice would be appreciated, thanks.

You have to use a Pinyin input method and switch the language of your computer to Chinese before Hanzi will show up in QQ or any other open program. Lots of posts on the details of doing those things elsewhere in the forum.

You can use the microsoft pinyin one, which is good and is what most people have used their whole lives. There is also another one called Sogou which is very very good, I would recommend you to use Sogou, you can find threads on here about it.
