Chinadoog Posted March 16, 2010 at 12:10 PM Report Share Posted March 16, 2010 at 12:10 PM So I just downloaded the Chinese version of QQ but I have no idea how to use characters with it. Whenever I type, it just shows up as normal letters but doesn't give me the option to choose a character. Any advice would be appreciated, thanks. abcdefg Posted March 16, 2010 at 12:28 PM Report Share Posted March 16, 2010 at 12:28 PM You have to use a Pinyin input method and switch the language of your computer to Chinese before Hanzi will show up in QQ or any other open program. Lots of posts on the details of doing those things elsewhere in the forum.

taylor04 Posted March 16, 2010 at 04:14 PM Report Share Posted March 16, 2010 at 04:14 PM You can use the microsoft pinyin one, which is good and is what most people have used their whole lives. There is also another one called Sogou which is very very good, I would recommend you to use Sogou, you can find threads on here about it. imron Posted March 21, 2010 at 06:13 AM Report Share Posted March 21, 2010 at 06:13 AM Don't use the microsoft pinyin one. It's rubbish compared to the Sogou or the Google IME.
