A little bit of homework help with grammar!

Hey guys,

My chinese teacher has asked me to prepare a 5 minute dialogue about "travel experiences". I have prepared a dialogue, and I did my very very best to try to make it good... But I've only been doing Chinese for about 18 months, so I need a lil help!!

I know this is a big ask, but could you guys give it a quick read over and correct any grammar faults that you see? Thankyou so much!!

In this dialogue, Annie asks Andrew why he hasn’t been around lately and he says he’s just gotten back from a holiday in Japan. Andrew talks a bit about Japan, and also finds out that Annie has been to China recently, and has some family there. Annie also talks about wanting to go to the U.S someday.

NB: If there is something in brackets in English, it means I’m not sure if my Chinese grammar is correct!! Can you check it for me? *^_^* thanks!

A: Hi Andrew, 你好吗？

B: Annie，你好。 我很好，谢谢。那你呢？

A: 我也很好。好久不见！你最近有到哪里吗？ (Long time no see, where have you been lately?)

B: 我倒去了日本度假。(I had a holiday in Japan).

A: 啊！你觉得日本如何？ (How was Japan?)

B: 很好。

A: 那在日本做什么？ 你跟谁一起旅行？ (What did you do in Japan? With whom did you travel?)

B: 我和我最好的朋友去夜店。(夜店 = nightclub.) 我们也去逛街。(We also went shopping).

A: 上夜店好玩吗？

B: 很好玩！

A: 你在日本过了几天？(How many days did you spend in Japan?).

B: 我在那里度假三个星期。我刚刚回到澳大利亚。

A: 好啊！ 在日本你去了那个城市？(Which cities did you go to?)

B: 我去了Tokyo, Osaka 和Kyoto.

A: Tokyo 怎么样？

B: Tokyo 是一个非常大的城市， 但是我觉得看起来不太美。

A: 真的吗？

B: 真的。 那你呢？ 你最近有没有去度假？

A: 我有。我两个月前到了中国去探亲。

B: 我不知道你在中国有家人！你在这里还是中国出生？(I didn’t know you had family in China! Where you born here or over in China?).

A: 我在中国出生，但是我在墨尔本长大。

B: OK. 在中国你最喜欢那个城市？(What is your favourite city in china?)

A: 我最喜欢北京！北京有很多大商场。商场的东西很便宜。(The things in markets are cheap).

B: 食物吃得好不好？

A: 吃得很好啊！我很喜欢北京烤鸭。

B: 很有意思。 北京烤鸭贵不贵？

A: 很贵，但是很好吃。 你一定要去北京吃烤鸭！(You should really visit Beijing and try the Peking duck!)

B: 你下一个想去那个国家？(Maybe: 你还想去哪个国家？not sure) (Which country would you like to go to next?)

A: 我想去美国。

B: 为什么?

A: 因为我很喜欢美国音乐，也很喜欢美国文化。

B: 真的吗？我听说美国食物吃得不太好。真油腻。(Really oily/fatty)

A: 糟糕！没办法。。(oh well, what can you do..)

I note that you use the Chinese names of Melbourne and Australia in the dialogue. You might want to do the same with Andrew/Annie, and the Japanese cities' names (東京、大阪、京都).

Bumclouds, you should get acquainted with Lang-8. Native speakers there will help you with things like this in return for your helping them with their English studies.
