How I can go to tianjin from Beijing airport, with such big luagge? The universtiy I have applied for, are don't able to transport such large things, They advised me to take the bus to tianjin and from the bus stop with taxi. but will a Taxi handle such big thing? Plus I have a suitcase. Or is there any other possibilty?

taylor04 Posted March 29, 2010 at 09:29 PM Report Share Posted March 29, 2010 at 09:29 PM As long as you get in line like everyone else. If you follow a taxi driver that comes up to you, you're more likely going to pay some extra RMB.
imron Posted March 30, 2010 at 12:28 AM Report Share Posted March 30, 2010 at 12:28 AM Beijing Airport to Tianjin? Will a regular taxi make that trip? Probably not and if so it will be expensive.
abcdefg Posted March 30, 2010 at 12:51 AM Report Share Posted March 30, 2010 at 12:51 AM (edited) Beijing Airport to Tianjin? I think you read the post wrong, Imron. They advised me to take the bus to tianjin and from the bus stop with taxi. Ordinary taxis at bus, train, and plane starions in China are usually safe. If you are still worried, try to find someone in Tianjin to meet your bus and ride in with you. Some schools offer that service, though usually they are private schools. In the taxi, you can put your suitcase in the trunk (the boot) and your guzheng inside with you. Chinese taxis seldom have a barrier between the back seat and the front, so you can slide it through easily and it can ride part in front and part in back.Chinese taxis are used to hauling bulky things, such as people moving with lots of boxes and such.
