Menino80 Posted April 14, 2010 at 01:46 PM Report Share Posted April 14, 2010 at 01:46 PM Hi all I was looking into studying at Global Village Mandarin Academy in Wudaokou. I'm currently in the US however, I'm wondering if anyone has had any experience getting set up with a visa from outside China (or Korea as it's a Korean joint). I have a few Korean friends in BJ at the moment that could talk to them and I also sent them an email in Korean and Mandarin about studying there yesterday. I'm just wondering if anyone has had any experience getting sponsored for a visa before coming over. I'm assuming I have to commit to at least 12 weeks, which I think is OK as I had a friend study there before and he said it was quality. Is this the case? Any further info on studying at a non-university and getting an F or L visa? Thanks in advance.

luozhen Posted April 15, 2010 at 05:08 PM Report Share Posted April 15, 2010 at 05:08 PM Did you find an email address? I could only find a form for class registration, and received no response. I read a google translation of the site and other posts on here, and it seems that they offer visa for students in Korea and for people already in China. You don't need them to get an L visa (tourist) though.
Menino80 Posted April 17, 2010 at 06:20 PM Author Report Share Posted April 17, 2010 at 06:20 PM Actually I had the same problem, I filled out their info box and received no response. I will ask a friend of mine in BJ to call and ask them for me if I don't hear from them in the next few days. Yeah the L visa thing was a mistake on my part, I'm really just looking for info about getting the F visa while in the US. Assuming I couldn't, and just decided to fly to Beijing and do it that way, would I then have to leave the China and come back to get that F visa? Also would F even be the right visa for this situation?
