If I decide not to return to Europe this summer I would like to use the 2 months in between classes to earn some money and enhance my Mandarin. One of the things I am interested in is staying with a local family for a few weeks and teach them/their children English in exchange for room/board and salary. Now I know there are commercial websites offering such services, but I would like to know whether their is anyway I can contact such families directly? I taught their children English but didn't get paid, but they offered me free meals and room. I had really good experience and I could contact this family and see if they are still interested.
