In particular, I am looking at being able to converse with someone from Changsha, Furong district. I know about the tendency to convert H to F and N to L, hence Falan fa not Hunan hua! Any help or other pointers would be appreciated. I believe that some alternative words or combinations are preferred compared to putong hua. Also I suspect there are some grammar idiosyncracies.
