New Members v13co Posted July 19, 2010 at 12:11 PM New Members Report Posted July 19, 2010 at 12:11 PM I'm currently on the 6 week program at BLCU. The school is offering a trip to Xi'an over a weekend in August to see the Terra Cotta Warriors for 1650 RMB. It includes round-trip train travel, 1-night hotel stay, dumpling buffet, museum tickets and entrance fees. Has anyone gone to a BLCU organized excursion? Is there a tour guide that will explain everything (i.e. history, how it was discovered, etc)? In what language? Is it in-depth? How are the trains like? The reason I ask is because BLCU also organized a Mutianyu trip and the "tour guide" pretty much just led us to the bus, the ticket station, and told us where to meet for departure back to the school. I would have liked an introduction to the Great Wall since it is my first time. Thank you! Quote
greenarcher Posted July 22, 2010 at 12:29 AM Report Posted July 22, 2010 at 12:29 AM BLCU tours are generally better than ordinary tours when it comes to food and accommodation. No idea about the tour guides though. Quote
