Hunininki Posted September 3, 2010 at 01:25 AM Report Posted September 3, 2010 at 01:25 AM Hey, I'm planning to fly into Guangzhou in November but I have no return ticket. I've googled a few sites, but I can't find anyone who's flown into China with Airasia. Basically, immigration won't ask for a return ticket but some airlines do. Has anyone else had any experiences with Airasia without a return ticket? Quote
roddy Posted September 3, 2010 at 01:35 AM Report Posted September 3, 2010 at 01:35 AM What did Airasia say when you asked them? Don't imagine it'll be an issue, haven't heard of anyone having problems for ages, and even then it was rare (and something to do with Hong Kong rather than mainland China usually?). Quote
Hunininki Posted September 3, 2010 at 03:10 AM Author Report Posted September 3, 2010 at 03:10 AM I called them, but their Australian call center is pretty useless. I'll try the live center later but I don't have much hope for that either ... >< Quote
abcdefg Posted September 3, 2010 at 03:55 PM Report Posted September 3, 2010 at 03:55 PM No Airasia experience, but I flew into Guangzhou last year from the US without a return ticket. No problem. Quote
New Members retrodotss Posted November 26, 2010 at 03:06 AM New Members Report Posted November 26, 2010 at 03:06 AM Hi all I have a question that is bothering me for quite some time. I have a friend staying in Kunming. I purchase only a 1 way flight over there. Do i need a visa over and will the airflight issue me the ticket? Cause i'm not sure how long i'll be there..maybe less than 15 days, not sure.I'm just afraid the custom will not let me cross over,or the airline will not issue me the ticket. Pls help. Quote

You need a visa to enter China, even for a short time. Most foreigners cannot get a visa on arrival, especially for interior destinations such as Kunming. Check the regulations for your country of origin on the appropriate Embassy of China website. Quote
Obi-wan Posted November 30, 2010 at 04:20 AM Report Posted November 30, 2010 at 04:20 AM One way flights shouldn't be a problem, I flew with Asiana airlines this summer one way and purchased another for the flight home when I got to China. HOWEVER, you definitely need a visa pre-arrival like abcdefg said. Quote
