My bank in the States says all is well and the problem must be on the China side. A friend of mine has also been unable to make her ATM card work. roddy Posted October 21, 2003 at 03:32 AM Report Share Posted October 21, 2003 at 03:32 AM A friend of mine has had similar problems with an American Citibank card for the last few days - the ATM says 'contact card provider' and the card provider says everything is fine with the card. Apparently you can withdraw money over the counter with your card and passport, for a 3% fee, though I've never done this myself.
