I just found this wonderful forum and so many people who are interested in Chinese and the books used. I've been studying Chinese for a long while now and seriously thinking of compiling my own book! If anybody has time I hope you can help me! I'm doing the research on the books for 0 level of Chinese. Right now analyzing New Practical Chinese reader(book 1)and hanyu jiaocheng (book 1 old). I was looking for any opinions you can give...like good, bad, boring, interesting, too many words, bad grammar explanations and so on, anything you can think of. Even a short answer will be highly appreciated! Please also put where you are from originally, how long have you been studying Chinese and if you ever studied Chinese in China, which university were you in and which book did you use!!
