AlexBlackman Posted September 2, 2011 at 01:18 AM Report Share Posted September 2, 2011 at 01:18 AM I'm not learning 上海话 but I've stumbled upon this online dictionary. It's got audio, romanisation and many example sentanecs. http://dict.cn/shh/
rezaf Posted September 2, 2011 at 01:24 AM Report Share Posted September 2, 2011 at 01:24 AM It's the best thing available but very incomplete and the problem is that there isn't a standard set of characters for Shanghainese which makes it difficult to search. rezaf Posted September 2, 2011 at 01:30 AM Report Share Posted September 2, 2011 at 01:30 AM And it's more like a mixed with Mandarin kind of Shanghainese.
anonymoose Posted September 2, 2011 at 12:34 PM Report Share Posted September 2, 2011 at 12:34 PM I've seen this before. It's pretty good, and the sound files are very clear, although spoken a bit fast for anyone who's trying to listen to and repeat it. As rezaf says, though, it's difficult to search (but then, Shanghainese paper dictionaries are all like that too).
