Ni dou qu nar diaoyu? Bu yiding,

I found this at the end of a dialogue on fishing and I'm trying to make sense of the meaning:

A: Ni dou qu nar diaoyu?

B: Bu yiding. you shihou qu haibian, you shihou qu hebian.

my difficulty is that i understand the question to mean either "Where do you always go fishing?" or "Do you always go somewhere to fish?"

The answer "bu yiding" is like "Not necessarily" or "not certainly"

Is there a better translation, Im a bit confused with the reply "bu yiding" to this question.

(From the really good textbook "Chaoyue - Advancing in Chinese".2010)

The question is indeed something like "Where do you always go fishing?" and bù yídìng here means "It depends." :)
