I can't believe this forum is real. How long did I search for something like this?

I have so many questions in so many ways, I don't even know where to start :/

Guess I start with this one - I don't need to know the exact name of the song or it's artist, but maybe the genre and what instrument was used (if you know more, please feel free to help me out... ;) )

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EuwsJzGBkI4#t=17

The music played in the backround is so wonderful, and I would love to use it when I have guests at my house and we're doing a tea ceremony. :)

I would classify it as Chinese classical, maybe even modern or contemporary Chinese classical, since I don't know if it was music from a particular time in history.

If you're looking for that type of music (calm? relaxing?) for tea, you might want look into "Tea Music" from Wind Music in Taiwan:

http://www.windmusic.com.tw/en/pro_list.asp?LIB_ID=E&SET_NO=EX02&id=05

It's also available from itunes:

https://itunes.apple.com/us/artist/zhang-fu-quan/id870448288

I would also look into other parts of Wind Music's catalog. I think they have what you're looking for.  =)

Thank you!

There is actually tea-ceremony music? haha, I didn't know that ;)

It doesen't have to be calm or relaxing, just with this "instrument" (if it is actually an instrument and not something digitally rendered)

Wind Music has really a lot to offer, so I will try and listen to most / all of it this evening :)

Wonder if this type is in their catalog

I don't know if it's specifically for tea ceremonies, but it's music that seems appropriate for drinking tea. Some of the instruments are classical Chinese instruments, others are probably produced digitally.

Hi. I have a clip of this chinese song, but dont know who it's by or what it's called.

https://soundcloud.c...ts/chinese-song

My initial reaction was that this had to be part of a Jay Chou song, but I couldn't find it. I think the traditional instruments threw me off.

I asked someone for help, and the answer was that it's 千言萬語.

This one has the words and English translation:

I tried to find an instrumental version with the instruments in the clip, and came up with

Hope this helps! =)

Most of the songs posted here are modern - I need help with an older sound.

I have a very short (7 seconds) excerpt from a Suzhou Ping Tan.

I downloaded this 7 or 8 years ago as a ringtone, but would love to know where it comes from and hear the whole thing!

If there are more appropriate places to post this I would be happy to look there as well.

Thank you in advance for any help you can give at all.

PS - when my phone rings - no one else checks if it's theirs  :) !

Could someone please help me identify this song and its performer. I heard this song in China in 2011, I believe it was popular.

I was able to find the remix, which is uploaded here - https://soundcloud.c...nd-a-girlfriend

It's 我想找個女朋友 by 姜玉陽 (who also wrote the lyrics and music).

我和我的小伙伴们都惊呆了 - 王麟

My net is really not doing well at the moment, but I think this is it from the few seconds I can get.

I love a music identification challenge!

Hello everyone! Can somebody please help me?

I'm looking this one song sung by a female Chinese artist. I cannot remember the name but it might be something Vinnie (I could be wrong).

The artist emphasizes the "wei shenme" part and if my memory serves me correctly, I think she says something like 为什么我的愛 (wei shenme..wo de ai, then etc etc etc).

The video shows two high school girls who are friends and one of them is in love with this boy. I think the girl was seen having fun with school activity with the boy (riding a bike?) and at the end I think she drops a note/paper that I think is a love letter.

Hope you can help me! Thank you

I think the song you're looking for is 原來愛情這麼難 and the artist is 泳兒. Her English name is Vincy.

Here's the music video for the song:
